Young Urban Farmers CSA will be at both the Withrow Market and Leaside Ecofair this coming Saturday, June 5 2010. Come join us this weekend!
Withrow Market:
The Withrow Park Farmers’ Market is a community based initiative that arose out of citizen concern over the declining control over the food we eat, and the need to create more opportunities for farmers and food entrepreneurs. The majority of fruits and veggies stacked on grocery shelves at supermarkets and greengrocers travel thousands of kilometres – a process that hides the social and environmental links that bring food from the farm to the plate.

WHERE: Withrow Park, Toronto, one block south of Danforth Avenue, between Logan Avenue and Carlaw Avenue
TIME: Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The overall theme of the EcoFair is to demonstrate the connections between our health and the environment through air, soil and water. Other exhibitors include the Leaside Garden Society, LEAF, Ward 26 Cycle Group, and many others.
